A website with no visitors isn’t really a website at all.
Today we’re going to break down how private clinics and hospitals can get their first 1000 visitors with SEO and content marketing.
How many visitors are you getting a month? Are you getting 1,000 visitors, 10,000, 200, 100, 0? There’s no wrong answer. And even if you have more than 1000 visitors, the tips in this post will help you get even more.
Tip Number One: Do keyword research for high AND low search volume keywords.
So what’s the easiest way to check this? You can use a free tool like Ubersuggest or a paid ones such as Ahrefs or SEMRush.
Then check pages two or three of Google. Doing this will show you what the terrible content isn’t doing, so that way you can look at the good content and you’ll have a better understanding of what to do. It’ll also give you ideas of what may be standing out, that they may not be covering within your space.
Tip Number Two: Start creating content around lower competitive keywords first
Now you can use automated tools like Jarvis.ai, which can help you produce content quickly and easily and in a semi-automated way. It’ll take the topic that you want to write on, write an outline and even help you write the paragraphs.
You’ll definitely need to go in and modify it though.
As healthcare and medical advice you obviously don’t want to generating false information for your audience either, so make sure you always thoroughly check any AI generated content.
Overall it’s still a good time saver but you shouldn’t use it as a tool that’ll write your content for you automatically.

Help boost the content, like when I post content on Facebook, a lot of times I’ll boost it. It really helps get those signals going and gets more visibility.
Doing this also helps you identify how users interact with the content. Do they bounce away quickly? Do are they engaged? Is the copy on the post engaging? All this can save you time and effort you’d otherwise spend “guessing”.
Step 4: Create topic clusters
As you start to rank for more specific terms these can help you become more authoritative in these bigger topics.
For example, if you’re ranking for something like “bereavement counselling in London”, you can start targeting keywords that are a bit more competitive such as “what is bereavement counselling” or even something very broad like “bereavement counselling online”. By creating new content topic pieces like this, over time, you’ll start dominating more and more keywords around that topic.
A great example of this is on our healthcare-SEO site. We have articles on SEO for medical and healthcare, but we have a lot of sub-articles around on-page SEO for private hospitals, link-building for private clinics, technical SEO for private healthcare providors which all integrate together.
This way Google knows our site is based around SEO for Health and Medical. Because of this we rank higher overall for terms like “medical digital marketing”, “healthcare blogs” and “mental health SEO” which WE DONT EVEN TARGET! Google just makes the connection.
Step 5: Capture leads and nurture them over time.
Once you acquire organic traffic, you need to keep getting more value from those users. Capture those emails through tools like Hello Bar. Capture push notifications through tools like Subscribers or chatbot subscribers through tools like MobileMonkey and keep those people engaged by giving them additional value with other content pieces around the same topic that brought them in.
